Z+F Imager 5016A Terrestrial Lidar Scanner

The Z+F IMAGER® 5016A terrestrial 3D laser scanner combines a compact, lightweight design with state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning surveyor technology. As a result, it allows users to achieve new levels of accuracy and efficiency. Moreover, it features an integrated HDR camera, internal lighting, and a positioning system, making it highly versatile.

Additionally, the redesigned components of the Z+F IMAGER® 5016A provide even better scanning results, which leads to a more efficient workflow. With the Advanced feature (A), the scanner achieves twice the scan rate—up to 2.187 million pixels per second. Consequently, it offers more options for leveling the scanner. Furthermore, when the dynamic compensator is deactivated or the tilt exceeds the defined range, the IMU of the 5016A automatically detects the tilt.

Very High Scan Rate

  • Measures 2.187 million pixels per second.

Optimized Leveling

  • The IMU integrated in the scanner enhances leveling, providing more precise scanning results.

High Accuracy of Navigation

  • During the IMU expansion, the accuracy of the scanner’s navigation was significantly improved. As a result, the accuracy of the automatic registration process has also been enhanced.

Z+F Imager 5016A Blue Workflow®

The Z+F Imager 5016A is compatible with the Z+F FlexScan and Z+F TopCam, which expands its functionality. The Blue Workflow allows users to register scan data in real-time on-site, ensuring faster results. Additionally, the intelligent software interface provides users with feedback regarding data quality and target verification, further improving the process.

Benefits of Using Z+F Laser Scanners

Using phase-based Z+F laser scanners in virtual factory and industrial plant planning helps avoid compromise solutions and the bottlenecks that typically arise. Not only does the fast, high-resolution, and light-independent surveying process minimize downtime during data collection, but independent studies conducted by various automobile manufacturers have projected potential savings of up to 15% of the overall investment amount for new buildings and reconstruction work.
