Certified training with Iris M
Take your Motion Amplification skills to the next level with this certified advanced training, developed using RDI’s official curriculum. Designed for users who already work with the IRIS M™ system, the course focuses on maximizing performance, improving measurement quality, and building both practical and analytical expertise. The training ends with a theory exam for certification.

Certified training with Iris M
A certification further training developed with RDI’s curriculum and training materials, for those who have used the system and want to maximize the system’s benefits. After the training, each participant takes a theory test as part of the certification. The IRIS M™ system is a powerful troubleshooting tool and a very effective alternative to, for example, traditional ODS measurements.
The training is aimed at those of you who have also chosen to invest in your own camera system with maximized benefit. We look at applications and tools for creating easy-to-understand reports and go through tips and tricks for the best measurement and avoiding interference in the measurements. The goal is to give the user a theoretical and practical basis for useful measurements/films as well as knowledge in analysis.
After the course, participants should be able to:
- Review of included hardware such as the tripod stand, lighting, differences between the IRIS M™ and IRIS MX™ cameras.
- Differences between traditional vibration technology and the IRIS M™ measurement technology.
- The difference between measuring with ONE vibration sensor at a time versus measuring with IRIS M or MX.
- We review Motion Explorer, which is an application for organizing objects and assets in a tree structure/hierarchy.
- We review Motion Amplification with its functions and settings both theoretically and practically.
- We look at the significance of the focal length of the lens and the distance to the object.
- How does the CMOS sensor in the camera work, what options are there to adapt the sensor to record movements at a higher frequency?
- What does BINNING mean when measuring with an MX camera and what options are there when this function is activated?
