The HandySCAN MAX EVO series from FARO Creaform is designed for accurate 3D measurement of large and complex objects directly on the production floor. Combining metrology-grade accuracy with an extra-large scanning area, wireless freedom, and intuitive workflows, it enables faster quality control, reverse engineering, and digital documentation.

With an integrated touchscreen, optional wireless operation, and real-time visualization, scanning becomes faster and easier—even for large workpieces where traditional measurement systems reach their limits.

Designed for Large and Complex Parts

HandySCAN MAX EVO is engineered for measuring large parts ranging from approximately 1 to 15 metres, including castings, tooling, moulds, welded structures, machine components, and automotive parts.

Its extra-large scanning area of up to 2.4 × 2.0 metres allows large objects to be captured significantly faster than with traditional handheld 3D scanners while maintaining high measurement accuracy. The ergonomic design and lightweight construction also ensure comfortable operation during extended scanning sessions.

Streamlined Workflow – From Scanning to Reporting

The MAX EVO series is designed to simplify the entire measurement process. The integrated touchscreen provides full control directly on the scanner, while the Mobility Kit enables completely wireless operation, allowing users to move freely around large objects without restrictive cables.

Real-time visualization and live guidance instantly show which areas have been scanned, reducing the need for rescanning and making the process faster, more efficient, and more reliable. The result is a streamlined Scan-to-Report workflow for quality inspection and quality assurance.

Metrology-Grade Accuracy Beyond the Measurement Lab

Like the rest of the HandySCAN product family, MAX EVO is built to deliver reliable measurement results directly in production environments. Blue laser technology combined with integrated photogrammetry ensures outstanding accuracy, even when measuring large components.

The MAX EVO Elite delivers accuracy of up to 0.075 mm and volumetric accuracy of 0.075 mm + 0.010 mm/m, making it ideal for demanding inspection and quality assurance applications.

HandySCAN MAX EVO is powered by the new Creaform.OS platform, featuring a modern and intuitive user interface with built-in guidance and training resources for a fast learning curve.
