FARO and Creaform join forces

FARO Technologies and Creaform, both part of AMETEK, Inc., are entering a new chapter by restructuring their operations in metrology and Reality Capture.

FARO’s 3D measurement business will merge with Creaform to form FARO CREAFORM, a new business unit focused on portable and automated dimensional measurement solutions for manufacturing and maintenance industries. The goal is to empower customers with more mobile, user-friendly, and reliable measurement technologies, brought together in a clear and unified offering.

At the same time, FARO INSIGHT is being launched, building on FARO’s Reality Capture business. This business unit focuses on transforming real-world data into reliable decision-making insights through advanced solutions for data acquisition, point clouds, visualization, and digital twins for construction, geospatial applications, and public safety.

40 years of experience

This reorganization is based on FARO’s more than 40 years of experience in 3D measurement and Creaform’s innovation in handheld measurement technology since 2002. It is designed to deliver greater customer value, faster innovation, and long-term growth.
