PCH 1270 and 1272 Compact Vibration Guards
PCH 1270 and 1272 Compact Vibration Guards
The PCH 1270 and PCH 1272 vibration transmitters, equipped with built-in sensors, are designed to ensure safety in machines where high accuracy and fast response times are essential.
These Compact Vibration Guards actively monitor vibration levels by comparing them to internal thresholds 10 times per second. This quick detection enables them to provide early warnings or even trigger an emergency shutdown when needed.
The PCH 1270 and 1272 comply with Functional Safety standards (EN 13849, PL-d, SIL 2). Additionally, they support ISO 10816-3/20816-3 (2/10–1000 Hz) filter ranges. For even greater flexibility, you can request custom filter ranges tailored to your specific needs.
Furthermore, each calibrated Vibration Guard from PCH Engineering comes with a test certificate, confirming its reliability and performance.
Customizable and Easy to Use
You can easily adjust the measuring range, vibration alarm levels, delay times, and hang times using the monitor’s intuitive switches. This feature allows you to quickly adapt the system to meet the specific requirements of your machinery.
All-in-One Design
The PCH Vibration Guard combines a vibration sensor, alarm system, and output systems into a durable stainless steel housing. It constantly compares vibration levels to two alarm limits:
- Alert (A1): This signals potential issues.
- Danger (D1): This triggers immediate action, such as shutting down the machine.
When the alarm thresholds are exceeded, the system activates relays to trigger connected devices like warning lights, buzzers, or controllers. To prevent false alarms caused by temporary transients, the system includes delay times.
Reliable Monitoring and Reporting
In addition, the system features a latch function that keeps alarm relays active until manually or remotely reset, even if vibration levels decrease. The 4–20 mA signal continuously reports vibration levels and also verifies that alarm limits are met.
Flexible Measurement Options
The PCH Vibration Guard can be configured to measure either velocity (mm/s) or acceleration (m/s²). Low-frequency versions are available, and you can also request customized parameters to meet the specific needs of your machinery.
