PCH 1290 COMPACT REDUNDANT VIBRATION MONITOR
PCH 1290 is redundant compact monitor for SIL 2 / PL-d Machine protection
The PCH 1290 is a simple, cost-effective, and safe machine monitoring solution that offers full redundancy for critical applications.
This fully redundant vibration monitor integrates two independent sensors into a single casing, allowing you to collect data from two vibration sensors with just one device.
Designed for enhanced SIL 2 protection in compliance with EN 13849, the PCH 1290 features two independent processors and alarm relays that operate simultaneously, ensuring reliable performance.
Redundant Design for Maximum Safety
The PCH 1290 consists of two independent vibration monitors housed in a compact design. It provides:
- Two 4–20 mA outputs
- Redundant alarm relays
This unique design meets Functional Safety standards (EN 13849, PL-d, Category 3) with a 1002D architecture, offering a Mean Time to Dangerous Failure (MTTFd) of 1,359 years.
Every 100 milliseconds, the two monitors compare the measured vibration levels to internal alarm thresholds. If the vibration exceeds the set limits, the redundant alarm relays activate after a delay, ensuring reliable and timely warnings.
Customizable and Easy to Configure
The PCH 1290 Redundant Vibration Monitor, part of the PCH Vibration Guard series, can be configured to measure:
- Velocity (mm/s)
- Acceleration (m/s²)
By default, it monitors seismic mechanical vibrations in accordance with DIN/ISO 10816 standards. The device’s settings, such as measuring ranges and alarm thresholds, can be adjusted to suit your specific requirements.
Proven Reliability with Certification
Each calibrated vibration monitor from PCH Engineering is delivered with a test certificate, ensuring high reliability and compliance with industry standards.
